Granville Island is a peninsula in downtown Vancouver; it has a public market with a lot of vendors. I heard that the Chowder at A la Mode is particularly delicious, so we came here for it. The shop was busy with many people queuing up.
We ordered a Clam Chowder Pot Pie. The plump and round puff pastry looked very cute and appetizing. The chowder soup also tastes very authentic. There are so many clams in it that you can easily pick up a pile of them on the spoon. However, the chowder soup covers the freshness of the seafood, and to be honest, it is a bit greasy at the end of the meal.
Aside from chowder Pot Pie, this shop also sells fruit pies and hot or cold drinks. If you don’t want chowder soup, a hot drink is always good on a chilly winter day.
