OEB Breakfast Co. is a well-known brunch chain in Vancouver, with branches across Canada. We visited the Brentwood location, which features a glass facade. The interior is bright and clean, and bright, sunny exterior is inviting. Due to its popularity, we had to sit outside, and although March in Vancouver is quite chilly, the heaters kept us comfortable.
OEB’s menu is extensive, making it hard for someone like me to choose. Eventually, I opted for The Soul in a Bowl Poutine, while others chose the Get Shorty Rib Poutine and Farmer John’s Delight. They let you choose how your poached egg is cooked; I went with medium. The combination of the runny yolk with the fries was delicious! The fries were crispy, and the fresh salad balanced the dish well, so it wasn’t too greasy. Although the bacon was a bit salty, it worked well with the other food on the plate. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but I thought mine was the best 😋
The service at OEB is excellent. My friend also ordered her poached egg medium, but it was slightly overcooked. The server promptly took it back to the kitchen to get a new one. Due to the great service, we generously tipped after our meal👍 If you’re visiting Vancouver and are unsure about where to go for brunch, check the map if there’s an OEB nearby – it’s definitely worth a visit!
