When we went to Las Vegas, besides gambling, we definitely needed to experience the city’s vibrant—and most importantly—taste American fast food! There are many burger chain restaurants in the U.S., and my boyfriend Colin is a burger lover, so as soon as we landed here, our first stop was to find a burger place. Luckily, there was a Whataburger near our hotel. After dropping off our luggage, we headed straight to Whataburger to try their famous burgers.
The Whataburger on the Las Vegas Strip has an odd layout, because it’s connected with another establishment (Parry’s). Once inside, it took us a minute to confirm that we were ordering Whataburger and not Parry’s. Although we arrived after 9 PM, the restaurant was still quite busy. The interior was bright and spacious. After ordering at the counter, since our meal included drinks, the staff gave us a cups to fill our own drinks. I thought we had ordered a large drink because the cup was huge, but the staff said it was only a medium size.
After filling our drinks, we took a seat and waited for our food. After a while, our number was finally called! I ordered the Whataburger, which was a classic American burger with one beef patty, veggies, meat, and cheese. Colin has a big appetite and went for the Double Meat Whataburger, a double-patty beef burger, for a hearty meat experience. The fries that came with the burger were good and crispy. My friends ordered the Bacon & Cheese burger, which is basically the original Whataburger with bacon added. Everything was really good.
Whataburger’s burgers are tasty and good quality, but not particularly exciting. If you’re just looking to try a classic American burger, this burger joint, which has been around for half a century, is definitely worth a try.🍔
