We went here for authentic Neapolitan pizza!🍕
L’antica Pizzeria di Trevi – We randomly found this restaurant after leaving the Colosseum. We were drawn to it because they make authentic Neapolitan style pizza in a wood fire oven. It’s not far from the Fontana di Trevi – about a 5 minute walk away. When we arrived, there weren’t many customers because it was outside of peak dining hours.
We got our drinks first. I had Lemonade, and Colin had Peroni beer. The beer tasted decent; it’s a local beer that you must try when you come to Italy. These beverages were perfect to sip on as we waited for our pizza to be baked.
I ordered the Margherita pizza; it tasted authentic, with tangy tomato sauce and Mozzarella cheese. It is a classic Italian pizza with handmade thin crust. The outer crust is slightly burnt and crispy, and the middle is soft due to the toppings. The unique taste is exactly the essence of Neapolitan pizza, simple and amazing! Colin ordered Diavola, which is basically the same as a Margarita, but with the addition of hot spicy salami. It is also super delicious.😋
After we finished the pizza, we ordered Tiramisu for dessert. It was tasty and not too sweet. A small portion is perfect for the end of the meal! This pizza restaurant has many branches in Rome. If you are nearby, you should try it out. Basically, all the pizza restaurants in Roma Italy are so good. As long as the Google reviews are above 4 stars, you can’t go wrong!
