Best Pizza Restaurants in Ladner: Il Posto Delta

Since we planned to visit Tsawwassen Mills in Delta today, it was nearly dinner time by the time we finished shopping. We checked the map for nearby food options and came across Il Posto, a highly rated pizza place. With many glowing recommendations and a convenient location in a nearby town called Ladner, we decided to drive over and see what the buzz was about.

The restaurant’s exterior features a bright yellow colour scheme with eye-catching red and green accents. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the mouth-watering aroma of freshly baked pizza and a lively, bustling atmosphere. We had read online that the restaurant offers Happy Hour from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., with a $5 discount on all pizzas, so we made sure to place our order before 5 p.m.

• Caesar Salad (Add Prawns): This classic Caesar salad was exactly what you’d expect, but we opted to add four grilled prawns for an extra $8 — essentially $2 per prawn. The prawns were fragrant and perfectly grilled, though a bit salty. Thankfully, the fresh, crisp salad helped balance the saltiness, making the overall dish quite satisfying.
• Classic Pizza: The pizza arrived piping hot, topped with a generous mix of red peppers, olives, mushrooms…etc. What surprised us the most was the crust. Unlike many Italian-style pizzas that tend to be floppy, the crust here remained delightfully crisp, even after it cooled down — a truly impressive feat.

Although Il Posto is a bit of a drive from Vancouver, it’s well worth the trip for a delicious, satisfying pizza. After a day of shopping at Tsawwassen Mills, enjoying dinner here is the perfect way to cap off the outing. If you can catch their Happy Hour, it’s even more of a fantastic deal. According to the staff, many customers travel from Vancouver and often ask why they don’t open a city location. But in my opinion, having just one unique spot makes Il Posto all the more special.
