Granville Island is a peninsula in downtown Vancouver featuring a public market with many vendors. Bon Macaron Patisserie – This macaron dessert shop was recommended by a Chinese guy who was next to us when we had the Clam Chowder Pot Pie (also at Granville island). It was not far away, so we walked over to check it out.
The sign for the store is a large macaron cartoon, and their furnishings are quite simple. There are many macaron trees on the shelf and all different kinds of flavors of macarons in the display case which are colourful and dreamy. The clerk recommended many flavours; I chose the maple syrup macaron, while my friend chose the pistachio one. Macaron is a very sweet dessert with a crisp, satisfying outer shell.
The store is pretty busy. If you’re visiting the Granville Island Public Market, you should come over and give it a try!
