On the first morning in Las Vegas, we realized that our hotel didn’t offer breakfast. So, we searched for a good breakfast spot and found the highly recommended New York Bagel N Bakery. This shop is about 5 miles away from the Strip, making it inconvenient to reach without a car. We decided to rent a car first before heading over, despite our growling stomachs.
New York Bagel N Bakery is located in a shopping plaza in a suburban area of Las Vegas. There’s parking right in front of the store, and a Smith’s grocery store nearby, making it convenient to do some shopping after breakfast. The interior of the shop is bright and spacious, with plenty of tables for dining in. The menu is displayed on the wall. After deciding what you want, you can place your order with the staff.
The four of each ordered a different bagel:
- Turkey Breast W/ Cheese: Turkey breast and cheese on an everything bagel. The fresh, juicy vegetables and slightly salty turkey slices, combined with the everything bagel, made for a well-balanced taste.
- Lox Cream Cheese: This bagel featured smoked salmon cream cheese on a garlic bagel. Though there was a thick layer of lox and cheese, the garlic flavor from the bagel dominated the overall aroma, filling the mouth with a rich garlic taste with every bite.
- Egg Meat N Cheese: A friend ordered this egg and cheese bagel, choosing a plain bagel. It was fairly ordinary in taste.
- Steak N egg: A steak and egg with a sesame bagel. I initially thought the bagel might be a bit dry, but since the steak was cut into small pieces, it turned out to be surprisingly juicy and flavorful.
Each bagel was cut in half, making it easy to bite into. Although this shop is a bit of a distance from the Strip, if you have the chance to drive in Las Vegas, I recommend coming here for a delicious bagel breakfast to kickstart your day into tourist mode.
