London to Taiwan: 25,000 KM Overseas Travel Adventure

After finishing a two-year working holiday in the UK, I made countless memories and met many friends. By chance, I learned about a friend’s incredible journey from Hong Kong to London, which inspired me. From the beginning of my working holiday, I kept saying I wanted to take the Trans-Siberian Railway back to Taiwan.

During my working holiday, I met a backpacker who had traveled overland from Taiwan to the UK and planned to return to Taiwan the same way. Her travel stories strengthened my resolve to complete this journey.

So, I embarked on and completed this overseas travel adventure: 240 days, 8 months of travel through Europe, Africa, and Asia. I experienced Christianity, Islam, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Buddhism, covering over 25,000 kilometers. This included 35 days on the Camino de Santiago and a month on the Trans-Siberian Railroad.
