I traveled to the north of Taiwan – Keelung to visit a friend, and of course, the first must-visit is Keelung Miaokou Night Market which has a lot of delicious foods. My friend took me to a well-known local favorite – Ah-Hua Chow Mein（阿華炒麵）. This is a popular restaurant beloved by locals and visitors, particularly curry fried noodles. Although the restaurant is not large, it’s very famous, so there’s often a line of people waiting.
The menu does not have many selections, but the prices are very reasonable. We ordered the signature mixed curry fried noodles. The rich aroma of curry bursts into the mouth, greatly stimulating the appetite! The fried noodles not only taste excellent but also come in a generous portion. The dish includes two pieces of pig liver and two fresh shrimp, making the ingredients both fresh and substantial. The shredded pork fried noodles also have a rich flavor, with the sauce carrying a strong hint of star anise.
Since this restaurant often has long lines, it’s recommended to visit during off-peak times, such as midnight, to avoid the crowds. This way, you can easily enjoy these delicious curry fried noodles.
