When it comes to Korean cuisine, one of the most iconic dishes is Korean fried chicken. One day, on a whim, I remembered passing by a place called 350 F Chicken while driving. With its impressive rating on Google Maps and being listed among the recommended spots for Korean fried chicken, we decided to check it out for dinner.
Located on the busy E Broadway in Vancouver, the restaurant benefits from a convenient nearby alley for parking. The interior is small with only a few tables, and perhaps due to the rainy weather, many people were opting for takeout. The menu is concise, but every item looked quite enticing.
- Soy Garlic Chicken Meal: The dish had plain fried chicken and soy garlic sauce. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, locking in the juices inside, resulting in great flavor and freshness. The combo also included fries, a salad, and a can of soda.
- Hot Original Chicken: The menu indicated a one-pepper spice level, but I found it quite spicy. The heat wasn’t just in the sauce—it was infused into the marinade itself. The blend of spice and flavor showcased the essence of Korean fried chicken well.
While this may not be the absolute best Korean fried chicken I’ve had, it definitely ranks above average. The freshness of the chicken, the crispy exterior, and the non-greasy sauce left a lasting impression. If you’re on the hunt for a Korean fried chicken spot worth trying, give this place a shot!
