Chilliwack is a small town located about 100km away from Vancouver. The view and environment are serene and beautiful, it also boasts a newly developed commercial area called District 1881. Here, there’s a notable restaurant called Field House Brewing, which came recommended by a local while we were at a café next door. This restaurant is renowned for excellent beers – brewed in house.
Our group of 5 decided to try 3 pizzas: Pepperoni + Pickled Jalapenos, Wild Mushroom, and Harvest. The pizzas here are crafted in the style of Italian wood-fired pizza, with a crispy thin crust and perfectly balanced toppings. My personal favorite was the Wild Mushroom, as I love mushrooms, and the flavor was just right without being too salty or strong. The Pepperoni + Pickled Jalapenos was also delightful, with the jalapenos offering a subtle kick that even those who aren’t fans of spiciness could enjoy. The Harvest, made with various vegetables and Mozzarella cheese, had a pleasant cheesy aroma without being too mild. To complement our meal, we ordered a glass of Chilliwack Lite Lager (ABV 4.5%) which is light, crisp, and refreshing. It’s a pretty basic beer, but very good.
The restaurant has a spacious interior with comfortable dining settings. They even have a gaming area with Arcade games. Additionally, they sell souvenirs, and we couldn’t resist getting a pin as a memento due to the charming restaurant logo. It’s worth mentioning that the service staff are charismatic and provide excellent service. If you find yourself in Chilliwack with some time to spare, Field House Brewing is definitely worth a visit!
