Chez Christophe – This Vancouver café is well-known on social media for its Croissant Cube. Since it’s close to us, we’ve visited several times. Aside from the Croissant Cube, their coffee and chocolates are also outstanding. The café has a bright, minimalist interior, making it an ideal spot for working on a laptop or simply enjoying coffee and treats at leisure.

  • Crookie Croissant Cube: This café offers a variety of flavors in their Croissant Cubes that change regularly. In past visits, we’ve tried coffee, mango, maple syrup, and chocolate flavors. The square shape of the croissant holds different fillings that ooze out when cut, with each flavor having a unique taste. The coffee flavor is well-balanced, while the chocolate can be a bit sweet but pairs perfectly with a coffee.
  • Double Baked Almond Croissant: Topped with layers of almond slices, this croissant is delightfully aromatic and has a rich, layered texture. Inside, it’s filled with sweet, decadent chocolate ganache that complements the crisp outer shell.
  • Cheddar Rosemary Pull-Apart: This pull-apart croissant combines cheddar cheese, garlic, rosemary, and sea salt, delivering a savory flavor twist on the classic croissant. It’s crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and truly unique.
  • Carrot Croissant: Shaped like a cute carrot, this croissant has a crisp outer layer and is filled with rich, creamy filling for an indulgent texture.

The owner of Chez Christophe frequently introduces new items, so there’s always something new to discover with each visit. However, the Croissant Cube remains their classic specialty, with its flavors frequently changing. Coming here for afternoon tea to enjoy coffee and delicious pastries makes for a relaxing and delightful experience!
